Fellowship Description:
This fellowship offers an extensive experience in the surgical and nonsurgical management of disorders of the shoulder and elbow under the supervision of nine full-time faculty members whose practice is limited to the shoulder and elbow. The Shoulder and Elbow Service manages in excess of 25,000 outpatient visits per year and performs 3,000 surgical cases per year. This extensive clinical volume guarantees exposure to a wide variety of traumatic, degenerative, and athletic injuries. The fellowship experience includes training in the most advanced arthroscopic and open reconstructive surgeries of the shoulder and elbow. Research is an integral part of the fellowship experience. The clinical research program includes the active participation of the staff, fellows, and residents associated with the Shoulder and Elbow Service. The Fellow is expected to participate in clinical research projects and the preparation of scientific publications. Candidates must be eligible for employment in the US and be eligible for a medical license prior to training. Interviews will be conducted in January to March. Positions will be offered in April according to the SF match process. Questions or application requests can be directed to Kelly Quici at the address above.
