Event Description: Our evening in Denver highlights the advancing science of shoulder and elbow surgery and will take place at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Our academic agenda will focus on recent advances in the treatment of shoulder and elbow conditions and the science behind these innovations. Our keynote speaker is local football legend, Broncos Superbowl 50 champion, and sports media celebrity, Tyler Polumbus. Our industry supporters will have the opportunity to show off their innovative products and help to make the evening memorable for all participants.

Guest Speaker Highlights:

Keynote Speaker: Tyler Polumbus

Tyler Polumbus is a local legend in Colorado. He was a star offensive lineman at Cherry Creek High School and at the University of Colorado. He went on to have a stellar 8-year NFL career that culminated with a Superbowl 50 Championship as a member of the Denver Broncos. As with most football players, Tyler deal with several injuries throughout his career, including a shoulder injury that could have sidelined him for good. Tyler will speak to his experience as a football player and a shoulder surgery patient.

Guest Speaker: Randy Gradishar

Randy Gradishar needs no introduction in Broncos Country. Denver Broncos Ring of Fame member and 2024 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee. Randy Gradishar will join us for this memorable event and speak about his experience with shoulder surgery.

Guest Speaker: Amilu Stewart, MD

Dr. Amilu Stewart was Colorado’s first female surgeon. She grew up in Colorado and attended college at the University of Colorado in Boulder. She was accepted into the first female class at Jefferson Medical School in Philadelphia. After undergoing surgical residency in Washington, D.C., Dr. Stewart returned to Colorado to practice surgery. Dr. Stewart started her own practice and was actively involved in the Colorado Medical Society and helped found COPIC. She became the first female chair of governors for the American College of Surgeons and the first female president of the Western Surgical Association. She also served as the vice president of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Stewart retired in 2008 after an illustrious career. She will speak about her trials and tribulations as one of the first female surgeons and a leader in the medical field, and now as a patient after bilateral shoulder surgery.
